So you finally got a chance with that person that you have had the longest crush on and all you want to do is take them out to an enjoyable fun date but your pockets have chosen violence over everything else? Well, fear not. I got you.

Times are indeed hard, but that’s no reason not to enjoy yourself with your loved one. So, here are some of the cheapest, or rather, most affordable places to go out on a date here in Nairobi.

    IMAX

If you haven’t had the IMAX 3D experience yet, this will amaze you. Available all across the country, IMAX can be found in most huge malls all over the city. It’s incredible as you get to watch your favorite movies in 3D, with the 3D glasses included for just Ksh. 300 per head. This is an ideal destination for a first date, by the way.

    Picnic at the Uhuru Gardens

This is probably the least expensive idea for a date. Just be well prepared with her/his favorite dish and drinks, a blanket (or anything like it), some creativity, and your good to go. The Uhuru Gardens are free to access and is situated along Lang’ata Road.

    Gyros

This right here is a Greek restaurant that serves Taco-like food and snacks with drinks of your choice, You even get to choose what they put in your food, all for not more than Ksh. 1500, FOR BOTH OF YOU. Ain’t that something? Gyros can be found at the Valley Arcade mall and in Westlands.

    Creamy Inn

Now this idea best serves the men, because we all know how much the ladies love ice-cream especially when they get to choose the specific flavors they desire in their cups/cones for not more than Ksh. 300 per cup/cone.

Fear no more. Go get that girl/man.
